2nd international ‘’Latvia- Estonia run’’

On the  15th of April 2nd international "Latvia- Estonia run" will take place  through the streets of Valka and Valga.

‘This race is held in the honor of Pavel Loskutov - a long-distance runner who specialized in marathon races.  Previous year this race  was given a new title and format.

This race has a great history. Earlier this race  had a title ‘’Pavel Loskutov prize’’,  but already second year we are trying to expand the meaning of this race. Currently the title of the race is ‘’Latvia-Estonia run’’ and the goal of this race is not only to  achieve great results in sports, but also to promote friendship and create contacts between Latvian and Estonian athletes.

Last year a great number of Nordic walkers took place in this race. We are hoping that this year Nordic walking will be represented by even more walkers, because it is a wonderful adventure.’ comments the Chairman of Valka Municipality Council Vents Armands Krauklis.
